Role summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow our Business Development team. The BDR Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) who focus on generating leads, qualifying prospects, and contributing to the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in sales, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to strategize and execute business development efforts.
Base location: India (Pune)
Reports to: VP of Sales
Roles & Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing BDR team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and foster a culture of accountability.
- Conduct regular team meetings, 1:1 coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
- Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead quality and ensure the seamless transition of leads to the sales team.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and target industries to identify new opportunities.
- Track and report on key BDR metrics (e.g., number of qualified leads, conversion rates, outreach activities).
- Ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads into the sales pipeline by managing daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership on campaign performance and areas for improvement.
- Continuously evaluate and refine outreach methods, tools, and strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize CRM systems to track activities and performance, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure alignment between BDR efforts and broader sales strategies.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align efforts and optimize messaging.
