Armenia’s economy is centred around manufacturing and agriculture and its main exports are copper and gold. Armenia has a GDP of around $13.6 billion. It’s 2.9 million citizens are highly literate, highly educated and the main languages are Armenian (native language), Russian (95% speak some Russian) and English (around 40% speak English).
Armenia has had a liberal policy to foreign investment in place since the 1990s, so setting up companies and hiring Armenians is often quite straightforward. However, local customs and an often informal approach to employment must both be taken into account, making the use of an intermediary to hire in Armenia a good option.
