Role summary

The role requires to provide legal support as Contracts Team Leader in Pune and be part and a key member of the Legal & Compliance team. The role will encompass drafting, reviewing and negotiating redlines of contractual agreements and coordinating other legal documentation. This role covers all the TSW entities service areas.


Base location: India (Pune) 

Reports to: Chief Legal & Risk Officer

 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Reviewing a range of commercial agreements, including MSA, NDAs, and supplier contracts.
  • Working with other members of the Legal & Compliance team on a diverse range of legal areas such as corporate, commercial, employment, etc.
  • Assisting with major Legal & Compliance projects and coordinating actions.
  • Attending internal and external meetings with the in-house legal team and stakeholders and accurately recording minutes.
  • Assisting in the management of due diligence processes related to transactions, Entity and Partnerships, clients/ other service suppliers.
  • Ensuring commercial contracts are signed.
  • Updating online and offline filing systems (whenever required).
  • Providing administrative support and undertaking varied corporate work such as preparing board minutes, maintaining corporate registers and preparing filings.
  • Attending internal and external meetings with the Legal & Compliance team and stakeholders and taking minutes (whenever required).
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • To provide regular reporting on progress to the Legal & Compliance team, identifying any impediments and proposed resolution.
  • Taking responsibility for the supervision and mentorship of more junior members of the Legal & Compliance team, guiding them towards operating semi-autonomously.
  • To drive a one-team and collaborative approach to this integration across both organizations and the respective teams.


Key Attributes & Skills 

  • Prior legal commercial in a commercial law firm/ in-house preferred, work experience would also be recognized.
  • Prior experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts would be essential.
  • Excellent team working skills.
  • Knowledge of law / legal practice.
  • You will have a legal background with specific experience of commercial contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills, and confident in supporting other Legal & Compliance team members worldwide.
  • An eye for detail, strong organisational skills and able to take responsibility for own workload.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A law degree or business law and/or LPC (or equivalent qualifications) is essential.
